The latter cut, which was assembled with the help of DJ Toomp, finds West rapping, "I had a dream I could buy my way to heaven / When I woke I spent that on a necklace / I told God I'd be back in a second / Man, it's so hard not to act reckless." West previously told Billboard he'd be working again with producer/multi-instrumentalist Jon Brion, who played a key role on his 2005 album "Late Registration." The artist will make a handful of live appearances this summer, beginning July 2 in Manchester, England, and including a July 7 set at Live Earth in East Rutherford, N.J., a July 14 stop at the Cisco Systems Bluesfest in Ottawa, Ontario, and an Aug. 18-19 booking at the U.K.'s V Festival. |
